Wayne Sand (Board President)
Wayne Sand grew up in rural North Dakota. He moved to the Denver area in 1988 while pursuing his career in aviation. He has worked in the business aviation industry since 1987 as an avionics technician, systems engineer and now as the Avionics Manager for Duncan Aviation’s satellite location at Centennial Airport. He married his wife Patti in 1992 and they have one daughter, Whitnee, who has attended JECS since her Freshman year. He joined the school board in August of 2016 in response to God’s persistent prompting. He attends Cross Culture Church in Green Valley Ranch, where he volunteers as a Sound Engineer. He also has a passion for men’s ministry and enjoys leading men on weekend camping trips to connect with God during the summer months. It is exciting being part of the JECS school board, as we are clearly being led by the Holy Spirit every step of the way; and we have a front row seat to see how God continues to love on this school!
Loralie Tidwell (Vice President)
Loralie Tidwell is married and has three adopted children, Joshua 26, Olga 17, and Jonah 9. Loralie has found a real passion for authentic relationships through an adoption support group she and her husband founded while living in Georgia. She has continued pursuing authentic relationships while discovering a real passion for remodeling her 1985 ranch home into a rustic farm house. She is committed to Christian education for her children, which led her to JECS. She is so grateful to serve on the JECS school board and sees it as an opportunity to serve the Lord in a tangible way through those authentic relationships. Her excitement for the future of JE is what prompted her to join the school board and this community of students, parents and staff is what keeps inspiring her.
Heather Doolittle (Secretary)
Heather Doolittle was born and raised in Colorado. Her k-12 education was completed at Evangelical Christian Academy in Colorado Springs. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Landscape Horticulture in 1997. She has worked in various rolls for 10 years in the landscaping industry, including owning her own landscape design business. Landscaping became more of a hobby as her family grew. Since 2006, Heather has been very active in her two son’s education which has included a mix of homeschooling, schooling at home, and JECS where her oldest now attends. This unplanned venture has taught her volumes about education, dyslexia, Aspergers, and the partnership between teachers and parents. In April of 2016, she joined the school board to follow the direction God was leading her. She recognizes her full dependence upon God and the Holy Spirit to do the job He would have her do in her roll on the JECS school board.
