Alumni Lauren Geoffrion

 

Alumni Lauren Geoffrion (or Miss G as she is referred to by her students) has been blessing the JECS students since 2008 as their Art teacher.  She made such an impact during her first year of teaching that the senior class named her as their "Teacher of the Year" for 2009-2010. Lauren's artwork is captivating and her knowledge of art has blessed the students immensly, however, it is her love for the Lord that has truly impacted our students for their futures. She is not only busy here on our JECS campus but she is also busy with Aviv Publishing.   Lauren's Bio from the website is below:

Name: Lauren Geoffrion
Hometown/Current location: Chicago, Illinois / Denver, Colorado
Hobbies: Writing, art, music, reading and getting totally captured by what I read! Traveling, nature, old cities, languages, campfires, imagination, and laughing. Studying theology, history, and philosophy.
Favorite writing topics: Love, grace, and restoration. I love writing about my faith and the way that it impacts and shapes every-day life.
School or University: Grace University
Major: Intercultural Studies / Biblical Studies
Occupation: Founder & Editor of npp/namesake magazine, and Jr. high/high school art teacher
Why I am a part of Aviv: I created Aviv Publishing out of a passion to see Grace and Truth embraced and revived in such a way that absolutely and irrevocably changes people's lives. Being able to encourage others to use their gifts and the freedom of creativity for God's purposes is the most fulfilling thing I can imagine.
